Villarrica Chardonnay is a vibrant Chardonnay with dominating features of tropical fruits. Pineapple, mango and banana are all individually identifiable in the aroma as you swirl the bright straw yellow juice around the glass. This is not paired with disappointment on the palate. It is hugely voluminous, fresh and packed full of fruit. This is a wine that will stand out and be memorable for it’s great persistence and excellent balance of acidity.

Being in the southern hemisphere, the grapes for Villarrica Chardonnay were harvested in the middle of April before being brought to the winery. They were pressed lightly to get the best of the juice and maintaining the natural characteristics of the grapes juice and not allowing the bitterness of the seeds and skins to infiltrate the freshness of the juice. After a gentle pressing, they were cold-soaked for three days to allow the juice to develop in flavour before the fermentation took place. The juice then went through a cold fermentation.
The grapes were grown in the Valle Central on clay soils with some gravel with the vines being trellised using VSP
