The Res Fortes Cotes de Roussillon Red is produced by Moritz Bak – one of the people behind Pull The Cork, a Swiss-born winemaker, he now sells his wines in over fifteen countries worldwide.
Due to the demand In 2015 (the first vintage), Moritz produced more than triple in 2016 to a total of 5,600 bottles.
The red is a blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Mourvedre, the blend consists of 30% Grenache Noir aged in Puncheons Barrels. 30% Grenache Noir tank aged, 10% tank-aged Syrah and 30% tank-aged Mourvedre.
This glorious wine is full of flavour, leaving you a period of suspense, there are tons of juicy fruit notes and a little oak is also present. It’s a fantastic wine for roast pheasant or roast chicken.
