With red fruit such as strawberry, raspberry and cherry prominent on the nose, this is typical of a traditional pinot noir. Earthy notes such as smoke, mushroom and meaty flavours can be detected by both nose and palate as well as hints of oak. Best matched with game such as venison, roast beef, chicken or turkey.
This Australian Rutherglen Muscat is like dark, caramelised butter with aromas of Turkish delight, tobacco and espresso. Balanced and complex on the palate, flavours of rich raisin fruit, dried fig and cumquat poise perfectly with the delicate hint of rose petal. The finish is long but not too sweet.
