Puy De Dome Pinot Noir Rose is a beautiful pink colour with good clarity. The colour has a slightly salmony hue to it. The aroma on the nose is very fresh of white, clean, summer fruits with a little spicy cranberry but then overtaken by an array of almost sweet white fruits and melon. A delicious combination. On the palate, the feeling of this wine is one of richness in the mouth. A belnd of red and white fruits come through in abundance, like a fruit salad, superb ripeness and long-lasting flavours in the mouth. A fresh, juicy, summery fruit salad, partnered harmoniously with the balanced acidity which brings out the best in each of the flavours and allows them to thrive. Puy De Dome Pinot Noir Rose is ample with fresh and very sweet notes. This Puy De Dome wine is ideal with barbecues, charcuterie, pâtes, pizza, Mediterranean or exotic dishes. Its sweetness allows it to accompany fruit desserts too. This Pinot Noir Rosé was vinified using the bleeding method after a pre-fermentation of 18 hours. It was vinified under strict temperature control at 16 °C and then matured on fine lees for eight months. Filtration and bottling were made with great care to avoid oxidation. As is referenced in the name with Puy De Dôme being one of the youngest lava domes ( a mere 10 700 years old) in the mountain range of the Chaîne des Puys region of Massif Central in central France. Located in the loire valley, the volcanic terroir gives a great ground for the vines to thrive and make excellent fruit. Full of minerals and known for great viticulture in all farming, here they feel right at home and ready to produce excellent fruit as the base of our final product. The grapes are all hand picked, before being put through a traditional vinification and a short maceration. Just enough to flavour the fruit, but keep the tannins balanced.
