The Jumpin Juice sunset from Patrick Sullivan is from the cooler part of the Margaret River with oceanic influence. Patrick Sullivan, one of the most exciting young winemakers in Victoria, and one of the names now synonymous with the new wave of wine in Australia. Patrick was born and raised in Victoria, where he grew up on the family farm. Patrick makes his wine from organic and biodynamically grown vineyards and his wines are made with minimal intervention and in small batches. All grown up and married to the beautiful Megan, they live and make wine on their own farm in the Strezlecki ranges in West Gippsland. The wines are inspired by emotion, a moment in time and a sense of place.
The wild-haired Patrick Sullivan is a farmer first, winemaker second. His pride and joy is his vineyard in the Strezleki Ranges in the Gippsland G.I. of Victoria. On this plot of land, Pat farms with organic principals alongside Bill Downie, one of the most revolutionary winemakers of his generation. Bill takes the Pinot Noir from the vineyard, Pat takes the Chardonnay and a few other bits and pieces. The wines are un-tinkered with, fermented in neutral vessels with little or no sulphur and are made to express their special site and the vagaries of vintage.
“Sometimes we just want to drink the juice. Sometimes we just want a bit of alchemy. Skin-fermented Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon… The colour of summer and the scent of a holiday. Margaret River grown and farmed by the master Mike Sleegers. Biodynamic. Delicious!” Patrick Sullivan
Jumpin Juice ‘Half Full’ Sunset is one of the most refreshing wines we’ve ever had the pleasure in tasting! It’s the colour of summer and has the scent of a perfect summer holiday. A crunchy, moreish, lush, fruit bomb.
