The Chateau Lamothe Bergeron 2009 is an Organic Red Bordeaux from the Haut Médoc. Chateau Lamothe was inherited by Jacques de Bergeron in the 18thCentury. As a politician, he escaped the guillotine but was exiled to his country estate by the French Revolution in 1796 and became a noted expert on vines. Lovers of classical wines should already get the idea what to expect here from this blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. A perfectly well made Bordeaux wine and a Gold medal winner as well.
The Chateau des Annereaux Lalande de Pomerol 2012 is presently owned by the Hessel family and is currently considered to be producing some of the finest wines from Pomerol for many years, prompting Decanter Magazine to call this property ‘an essential discovery for any claret lover’. Intense nose marked by ripe fruit and good oak. On the palate, it’s very dense and provides a full and harmonious structure with notes of cherry and plum. Silky young tannins that accompany a long fruity finish.
The Domaine Serol et Fils Cote de Roannaise 2016 is an Organic Red from the Loire and 100% made from Gamay grapes. A family property since the seventeenth century, the Domaine has been passed from father to son for five generations, with each, in turn, adding his own contribution within the context of the times. Domaine Serol et Fils, Cote de Roannaise 2016 has an intense ruby colour. Aromas of red fruits (raspberry), typical of a young Gamay, and floral notes. Aromatic mouth overlayed by supple and silky tannins. Rounded and easy-to-drink wine.
