The Marcelo Miras Trousseau Nouveau is produced at Bodegas Miras in the very heart of Patagonia – Argentina. The characteristics of the grapes, which grow in a semi-desert environment, with breezes and permanent winds are naturally organic. There, the men work to generate changes in the vineyard and in the winery, to produce great wines, which reflect the freshness of their acidity, their rich fruity aromas and the minerality which is typical of these soils and, in addition in their red wines, their intense colour which comes from the small berries and thick skins of these grapes.
Summer temperatures are not excessive, being this far south. Allied with cool evenings. A very different climate to Mendoza, the resultant wines are fresher, more aromatic and delicate. The wines at Bodegas Miras are strictly Organically produced – manually harvested and produced using indigenous yeasts, the wines are fermented in stainless steel vats and controlled at a permanent 25 degrees c. There is a small amount of sulphur used during the winemaking but the malolactic fermentation is all kept natural. Making this wine suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
The Marcelo Miras Trousseau Nouveau is a bright ruby colour, it has a lovely fresh fruity aroma and on the finish is turns out with well-balanced tannins and a long lasting finish. We recommend that you have an oily fish, roasted or grilled meats or spicy cheeses to accompany this cracking bottle.
