Buy your case and join in on the only Dry January Elliot approves of. We hope to see you online – after all he’s done to help us get though lockdown(s) we wouldn’t want him to spend his birthday alone, would we?!
What’s in the case Lockdown 3.2:
Gunderloch Estate Riesling Dry – Riesling pure and focused, at its best! Typical fruity characteristics and long mineral finish of our “Red Slate” vineyards.
This “Estate Riesling” is the “liquid business card” of the Gunderloch winery. The soil on the estate vineyard is red slate soil from Permian times (290 mil. years old)
Dagon ‘Clestar’ – A 50-year old wild parcel of grapes, essentially a field blend of the two native grapes, feteasca alba & regala. Slightly golden in colour, the wine is light-bodied. It expresses flavours of exotic fruits and oriental spices whilst being richly aromatic and fresh. Excellent as an aperitif wine on its own, or with Asian food!
Tokaji Furmint Pajzos Szaraz 2018 – Pajzos make wines from the premium grapes growing their Vineyard in Bodrogolaszi and our Megyer Vineyard in Sárospatak. The Pajzos estate Furmint is very clean and fresh, the scent of a dewy spring meadow with some mango basis. The acid character of the Furmint is closed with a little creaminess. This wine is an excellent choice with grilled poultry, fish and cheese dishes, grilled cheese with a green salad.
