The Champagne Marie Forget from Forget Chemin is produced by Thierry Forget. For over 4 generations, the family has grown and produced a full range of champagnes. Following in the footsteps of Eugène, Paul, and Edmond, Thierry Forget is currently the Head of the Champagne house. He is a certified Oenologue, having graduated in 1988 from the Faculté of Oenology at Reims University.
Thierry produces only 95,000 bottles of champagne a year, a mere 5% of which is exported. Thierry has grown up in the midst of vines and a winery, smelling, tasting and discussing champagne from an early age passing all his wine-making exams with flying colours. He is now developing a reputation as an excellent champagne producer and winning many awards. His vintage champagne carries the ‘Special Club’ badge which means it is deemed to be among the best examples the region has to offer. Only grapes grown exclusively on the estate are used in the wine. The vineyard is cultivated according to the regulations drawn out by viticulture raisonné practices. This refers to sustainable and reasonable agriculture practices which avoid chemical use in the vineyard. The house has been given the certification of Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) or High Environmental Value.
The Champagne Marie Forget is produced using a secret family recipe, selected from several of our crus: don’t keep this gem to yourself. This is a more mature wine that shows a lovely complexity on the nose, while simultaneously filling the mouth with flavour. This wine is ideal for kicking off any meal. This cuvée is uniquely reserved for wine professionals or exportation.
