The Chateau Léoube Blanc de Leoube is produced at Château Léoube in the Cotes de Provence. Château Léoube is 65 hectares of organic vineyards, interspersed with olive groves, situated on favoured land for rosé wines in this traditional Mediterranean countryside. A British family bought the estate in 1997 with the aim to make wine with character true to their terroir. Overseen by Romain Ott, an agricultural engineer specialised in winemaking from the famous estate Domaines Ott, Leoube has grown with enthusiasm, producing some of the finest wines from Provence using both modern and traditional techniques.
A mixture of schist and clay characterize Château Léoube soils. The proximity of the sea, the daily sea breeze and cool nights are all factors that provide an ideal climate for growing grapes. A particular situation that contributes to making wine out of common. To obtain a perfect sorting, harvesting is manual only. The grapes are transported directly to the winery where they are placed immediately in temperature controlled vats.
The Chateau Léoube Blanc de Leoube is bold and rich with notes of aromatic stone fruits and floral hints. It has both minerality and roundness on the palate, the finish is full and crunchy – the perfect poolside wine! This is genuinely the best vintage I have ever tried!!
