Chateau de Boursault Tradition Brut NV is a unique champagne and one with a vast heritage. It is the only one in the whole Champagne region, that may bear ‘Chateau’ on its label. This entails that all grapes are grown, harvested and processed within the walls of the property. This Chateau was constructed by Madame Veuve Cliquot on the fundaments of a castle belonged to the barons of Boursault. It, therefore, may be no surprise that they named this champagne ‘Tradition’.
The wine is made with the classic champagne varieties; Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Chardonnay and the vines are cultivated with respect to the soil and environment. Every year the estate is moving closer to organic status. Cultivating natural predators to the enemies of the vine and avoiding chemical treatments has to lead to a double certification in Sustainable Viticulture and High Environmental Value in 2015.
Chateau de Boursault Tradition Brut NV combines harmony and elegance with aromatic support. Fresh, yet combining finesse and citrus with a fruity lightness. Nice mousse with a good length. An all-around beautiful Champagne with tradition, pedigree and a sustainable heart.
