The Château Rochecolombe Côtes du Rhône 2016 was founded by Robert Herberigs. Robert is a great Belgian composer and painter who bought Château Rochecolombe in 1925 as a second home. At that time, the property was a large orchard of apricot trees and some parcels of vines. Just after the Second World War, his eldest son Gilbert, with his wife Geneviève Van de
Vyvere, took over the reins of the estate, converting the apricot fields into vineyards. During the first 15 years, all the fruit was delivered to the local Saint Andéol co-operative and to a local negociant. Since then the production has been safeguarded solely for their own production.
The estate has been certified organic by Agence Bio (AB) for 10 years.
