Château Fonroque St Emilion Grand Cru is produced by the Guillard family. Sensitive to the approach introduced by the current team and anxious to preserve it, Hubert and Richard Guillard chose to collaborate with Alain Moueix (the previous owner), whose commitment will serve a lasting the vineyard department. The many transformations envisaged will contribute to the qualitative growth of this beautiful property, whose wine expresses wonderfully the rarity of a beneficial combination between beautiful approach and great terroir. Alain converted the estate over to certified organic and biodynamic vine growing methods back in 2001.
The Château Fonroque is a classic Biodynamic St Emilion Grand Cru Classé with soft plummy aromas, sweet attack and a refined but dense velvety palate. 16 months barrel ageing giving the wine all those hallmark pencil shaving aromas, integrated vanilla spice and soft tannins.
