The Anno Domini Prosecco DOC comes from a careful harvest. Anno Domini was named in honour of the famed Romans Emperors Claudius and Augustus for their efforts to connect the city of Venice to the planes beyond Brenner pass in 47 AD, which would secure Veneto’s role as a crucial cultural region of Italy. Brothers Christian and Andrea Tombacco are the third generation to produce wine in the Veneto, with a passion for quality only matched by the need to farm organically, and with great care for the environment and its biodiversity.
They are fully aware that the current market is awash with Prosecco. But they still felt there was room for something that was raw and stripped back. A Prosecco that has all the lovely stone fruit flavours often associated with this wine but combined with solid acidity and cooling freshness. In 47 AD wines, they found just this…a wine that is for pure enjoyment and pleasure.
Anno Domini Prosecco DOC Millesimato is a lovely straw yellow colour with great persistence. The wine is fragrant, clear, and has elegant aromas with a good presence of fruity and floral notes. It has an excellent length. The maximum aromatic freshness is expressed in the first year of bottling.
